Trainee Operator

The Bloomfield Group is seeking a Trainee Operator to join our team at Rix's Creek Mine, located 5kms northwest of Singleton. As a Trainee Operator, you will have the opportunity to gain practical experience in a supportive environment while pursuing a Certificate III in Surface Extraction Operations.

This 2-year Traineeship program includes both classroom and on-the-job training, allowing you to develop the skills and knowledge required to succeed in the mining industry. You will be required to work a variety of shifts throughout the traineeship and commit to the 2-year training program.

• Learn to operate heavy mining equipment safely and efficiently, adhering to procedures and operational requirements.
• Perform pre-start inspections of machinery and complete necessary documentation as per operational requirements.
• Communicate effectively with production and engineering employees on maintenance, breakdown issues, and any problems that arise, and work collaboratively to develop a suitable course of action.
• Demonstrate excellent housekeeping and equipment care.

• Demonstrated commitment to safe work practices.
• Full driving license and a satisfactory driving record.
• Experience operating heavy vehicles or machinery is preferred.
• Willingness to learn and attain increased skill level, with a readiness to apply those skills.
• Proven ability to build proactive relationships and work as part of a team.
