Job Title: Claims Support SpecialistAbout the RoleWe are seeking an experienced Claims Support Specialist to join our team. This role is accountable for handling claims assessing required by Claims Consultants to assess claims. The successful candidate will also assess low complexity claims as well as assessing and initiating appropriate support options tailored to the customer's needs where appropriate.
Main Responsibilities- Compliance and Risk Management: Ensure compliance with Tal Services Limited policies, procedures, and guidelines, ensuring claims management is in accordance with the company's claims philosophy.
- Regulatory Requirements: Adhere to external regulations (e.g., Privacy and Life Insurance Code of Practice) and all relevant legislation and industry guidelines.
- Customer Service: Ensure all interactions with customers, advisers, and other internal and external stakeholders adhere to Tal Services Limited's Customer Service Culture through the provision of high-quality, accurate, and compliant work.
- Team Collaboration: Liaise closely across the Tal Services Limited Claims and other relevant internal departments to provide support in project work (including system and user acceptance testing and procedural reviews).
- Customer Service: Minimum 1-2 years in a customer service-based role.
- Problem-Solving: Excellent problem-solving skills.
- Communication: Ability to build rapport over the phone and demonstrate empathy with customers during difficult times.
- Negotiation: Outstanding relationship management and negotiation skills.
- Attention to Detail: Meticulous attention to detail.
The estimated annual salary for this role is $65,000 - $80,000 AUD, depending on experience and qualifications.
