We are seeking a motivated and skilled individual to join our team as an Engineering Fabrication Trade Apprentice. As an apprentice with East Coast Apprenticeships, you will have the opportunity to work alongside experienced professionals and gain hands-on experience in the field of engineering fabrication.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Prepare surfaces for coating using various methods, including abrasive blasting, high-pressure water washing, or power wire brushing.
  • Mix and match paint to ensure accurate color matching.
  • Apply body filler, primer, primer filler, top coat, and clear coat using airless systems and hand-held pot spray guns.
  • Filling imperfections and dents to achieve a desired surface finish.
  • Touch up paintwork and apply polish to vehicles.
  • Mask areas not to be painted.
Requirements:
  • Demonstrate strong mathematical ability.
  • Have a strong attention to detail.
  • Be highly motivated with effective learning and communication skills and a positive attitude.
  • Ability to work in a team environment and follow instructions.
  • Have a basic understanding of hand power tool operations.
  • Have fault-finding and problem-solving abilities.
  • Be well-presented, enthusiastic, reliable, and punctual.
  • Reliable transport to work, car, and license preferred.
