About The Role

As a Nuclear Medicine Technologist, you will be responsible for providing high-quality patient care and technical expertise in the nuclear medicine department. This includes performing complex diagnostic procedures using radioactive materials.

  • Key Responsibilities:
  • Prepare and administer radiopharmaceuticals to patients
  • Operate imaging equipment, including gamma cameras and PET/CT scanners
  • Collaborate with radiologists and other healthcare professionals to ensure accurate diagnoses
  • Maintain patient records and communicate effectively with patients and families
Required Skills And Qualifications

To be successful in this role, you will need to have:

  • Qualifications:
  • Bachelor of Applied Science/Medical Radiations in Nuclear Medicine or equivalent qualification
  • Registration:
  • Current Medical Radiation Practitioner registration with AHPRA to practice as a Nuclear Medicine Technologist
  • Licenses:
  • Radiation use licence issued by the Department of Health
  • Skills:
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively as part of a team
