Primary Performing Arts Educator

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Performing Arts Teacher to join our vibrant P-9 school in Truganina. As a key member of our Arts faculty, you will have the opportunity to develop and implement a comprehensive performing arts curriculum, design engaging lesson plans, and inspire students to reach their full potential.
Key Responsibilities- Develop and implement a performing arts curriculum aligned with the Australian Curriculum standards.
- Design and deliver lesson plans that incorporate a variety of performing arts disciplines, including music, drama, and dance.
- Teach students the fundamentals of performing arts, including theory, techniques, and practical skills.
- Assess student performance through observations, assignments, and practical exams, and provide constructive feedback to students.
- Organise and direct school performances, concerts, and drama productions, and collaborate with other teachers and staff to integrate performing arts into school events and programs.
- Maintain and organise performing arts resources, including instruments, costumes, and props, and manage the budget for the performing arts program.
- Must have unrestricted working rights in Australia.
- Current VIT registration.
- Demonstrate previous experience in teaching Primary/Secondary Art, with a willingness to support graduates.
- Ability to provide contact details for two education-based references from within the last 5 years.
