We are seeking a skilled Heavy Vehicle Technician to join our team as a Fleet Maintenance Lead. This is an exciting opportunity for a qualified and experienced technician to take on a leadership role within our organisation.
About the Role
The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring the maintenance and repair of our fleet vehicles, including HGVs and PSVs, meet health and safety legislation and DVSA requirements. This will involve carrying out scheduled preventative service and maintenance inspections to meet our operator's licence commitments.
As a key member of our team, you will also be responsible for training and mentoring junior technicians, ensuring that they have the necessary skills and knowledge to perform their roles effectively.
Key Requirements
To be successful in this role, you will need to have a full level 3 HGV/PSV qualification, City and Guilds qualification, or NVQ qualification, as well as experience working with heavy vehicles. You will also need to hold a minimum of a car/van driving licence and have a good understanding of mechanical engineering principles.
