Assistant Director Job Details

This is a leadership role at an early learning centre where you will inspire and motivate your team to drive continuous improvement across all areas of operations.

The Assistant Director will collaborate with our dedicated leadership team, build respectful relationships with families, and engage with the local community networks.

  • Support the Centre Director in leading the team to provide high-quality early learning and care
  • Mentor and develop capabilities within the centre team
  • Take charge of centre management in the Centre Director's absence

About this role:

We are a 75 place purpose-built centre located in central Bendigo, highly engaged with families and local community, with many incursions and excursions occurring throughout the year.

This is an exciting opportunity for you to join a dynamic and supportive team and make a real difference in the lives of children and families.

You will need:

  • Diploma of Early Childhood or equivalent qualification (approved by ACECQA)
  • A current Working with Children Check, or willingness to obtain one
  • Substantial experience as a Senior Educator or in a similar role
Key Responsibilities:

The Assistant Director will be responsible for supporting the Centre Director, mentoring team members, and managing the centre in their absence.

They will also be expected to contribute to building a thriving business and driving continuous improvement across all areas of centre operations.
