Accounting Professional

We are seeking an experienced accounting professional to join our finance team in Sydney, Australia. The successful candidate will be responsible for the operation and bookkeeping of the entity and will act as the first point of contact for queries from staff and HQ.

This role involves being a specialist with internal PO procedures, business travel policies, sample management policies, and related systems. You will also be responsible for periodically analysing and validating local data and reports to ensure consistency with HQ reports. Additionally, you will proactively analyse business operations, trends, costs, revenue, financial commitments & obligations to identify financial savings opportunities and risks.

Your key responsibilities will include assisting with accounts payable and receivable, month-end reconciliation and reporting/analysis, coordinating and processing staff business travel bookings and expense claims, managing company assets, and maintaining the fixed asset register. You will also conduct periodic internal audit for marketing samples - stock take and accounting book reconciliations, be the person in charge of sales procedures, and support the annual external audit process.

To succeed in this role, you will need to have at least 3 years' relevant experience, CA/CPA preferred. You should have solid knowledge of Microsoft Excel, Word, and Outlook, as well as experience with MYOB. Exceptional interpersonal, organisational, and analytical skills, along with excellent attention to detail, are essential. You should be able to follow internal working procedure to manage operational matters, understand accounting concepts, standards, and compliance, and have experience with corporate governance, internal and external auditing, and financial reporting.
