National Wagering Operations Director

Are you a strategic leader ready to drive operational excellence and customer satisfaction? This is an exciting opportunity to lead the national delivery of wagering services.

As a high-impact role, your leadership will shape the customer experience, strengthen industry relationships, and deliver commercial results.

You'll be responsible for maximising turnover, revenue, and profitability by implementing business strategy and overseeing end-to-end operations.

This includes budget management, national rostering, administration, and maintaining the highest standards of compliance and safety.

A key part of your role will be partnering with race clubs and industry stakeholders to deliver a consistent, engaging wagering experience.

Working closely with State Managers, you'll drive alignment in service delivery, process consistency, and performance outcomes across all states and territories.

Key Responsibilities :

  • Lead and inspire a team of dedicated managers
  • Drive commercial performance — maximising turnover, revenue, and profitability
  • Oversee national rostering, administration, and project delivery
  • Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements while maintaining the highest standards of safety and integrity
  • Foster strong partnerships with race clubs and industry stakeholders to deliver a consistent, engaging wagering experience
  • Champion continuous improvement, innovation, and operational excellence across the network

Required Skills & Qualifications :

  • Extensive leadership experience in large-scale operational management
  • Strong commercial acumen with the ability to deliver on financial targets
  • Expertise in managing geographically dispersed teams and driving consistent performance
  • Proven ability to build and maintain relationships with a wide range of stakeholders
  • Experience in regulated industries, with a focus on compliance, risk, and safety
  • Tertiary qualifications in Business, Event Management or related field (preferred)
