We are seeking a skilled and motivated Junior Draftsperson to join our drawing office's team.

The successful candidate will be involved in a multitude of engineering projects for slurry and water pipeline transportation systems, backfill plants, and slurry dewatering.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Production of drawings/MTO/lists as well as 2D and 3D models across mechanical, process, piping, civil, and structural disciplines under regular supervision.
  • Development of drawings/models from engineers' sketches with regular input.
  • Undertake document control activities.
  • Assist with drawing office-related PM tasks on projects.
  • Adhere to client policies, standards, and guidelines.
  • Assist with clash detection of design models against as-built models or other consultants'/clients' design models.
  • Assist with CAD coordination between internal departments.
  • Ensure all activities performed at work are carried out in compliance with common Workplace/Occupational Health & Safety protocols.
Requirements:
  • Work Authorisation: Australia (Required).
  • Formal training and/or qualification in Drafting, consistent with a Certificate IV in Engineering Drafting (or equivalent).
  • 1+ Years work experience in mechanical/pipeline drafting, including 2D and 3D modelling for slurry, water, waste, mineral processing, and/or oil & gas.
  • Experience working with one or more of the following packages: AutoCAD, Civil 3D, Plant 3D, MicroStation, OpenRoads, OpenPlant.
  • Foundational to Intermediate computer literacy skills, including MS Office package.
  • Foundational to Intermediate skills in one or more CAD software packages covering the entire workflow from setup and 2D/3D modelling to drawing/model production.
  • Foundational to Intermediate written/verbal communication skills.
  • Foundational to Intermediate attention to detail/organisational skills.
