Clinical Facilitator

A Clinical Facilitator acts as a university representative to provide support and mentorship to students whilst out on clinical placements.
The role involves periodic casual work supervising students in years 2, 3 and 4 of their studies across various facilities in Perth.
The usual commitment is approximately 3 hours per week/per student for 3 out of the 5 weeks they are on placement.
Key Responsibilities- Supervise and mentor students whilst on placement to ensure they gain valuable experience and skills.
- Identify students at risk and liaise with the clinical education team to ensure appropriate supports and strategies are put into place.
- Provide feedback to students about their performance and identify areas for improvement.
- Attend meetings as required by the Director of Clinical Education and participate in relevant professional development/supervision training.
- Comply with policies and procedures in all aspects of their work and conduct.
- Qualified to at least a minimum of an undergraduate qualification and be an AHPRA registered Physiotherapist.
- Significant relevant clinical experience and ability to deliver quality learning and teaching practices.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, including ability to foster high levels of collegiality and ability to empathise with students.
