We are seeking a highly skilled Asset Improvement Specialist to join our team at BHP Group. As a key member of our Engineering & Maintenance department, you will play a critical role in ensuring the reliability and performance of our fixed plant assets.
Key Responsibilities- Provide asset health information using various techniques, including vibration analysis, oil analysis, thermography, and NDT, to enable detection and optimal management of degraded fixed plant assets.
- Ensure inspections and assessments are completed as scheduled, with any defects recorded in SAP and escalated in the event they pose a risk to the operation.
- Support Maintenance Execution with ad-hoc inspection and analysis.
- Manage and maintain specialist tooling to ensure accuracy and effectiveness.
- Collaborate with the team to harness multi-discipline skills and improve tools, practices, and processes.
- Qualified VCAT 3.
- Desirable TCAT 1, LCAT 1/MLT1, and UCAT1.
- Safety-oriented with sound OH&S knowledge and specific statutory obligations.
- Demonstrated experience in operational site condition monitoring and NDT testing.
- Strong troubleshooting and fault-finding skills using multiple data sources and established methodologies.
- Ability to provide sound, timely, and pragmatic technical feedback to site teams.
- Experience using Emerson Machinery Health Manager and SAP CMMS.
- Competent with Microsoft Office suite.
- Management of contractor resources.
