
Insurance Risk Analyst

About the Role
This position contributes to department and corporate goals by achieving new business, rate, and retention targets for assigned book of business.
Main Responsibilities
- Achieve individual producer targets and develop a strategic business development approach to prospect for new business across product lines and broker segments.
- Collaborate with stakeholders regarding book management strategy and broker communications; provide feedback and recommendations.
- Monitor and report on the status of open claims for assigned accounts and offer suggestions.
- Prepare for account reviews with management, demonstrating knowledge of risk, industry, competitive environment, and products.
Underwriting Quality & Compliance
Ensure adherence to underwriting, compliance, and file documentation standards to support revenue and profit goals; evaluate and accept/decline new lines, renewals, and endorsements within delegated authority.
Sales & Marketing Strategy
Develop and implement a sales strategy to identify and develop new business prospects; manage the sales pipeline to identify and develop new business opportunities.
Requirements / Skills
- Expertise in pricing techniques, alternative risk transfer, and reserve development.
- Familiarity with key accounts in the Branch; understanding underwriting appetites and interdepartmental relationships.
- Judgment to tailor coverage and manuscripts; familiarity with competitors' products.
Prior Experience
Candidates must have relevant experience in insurance underwriting, including pricing techniques, alternative risk transfer, and reserve development.
Personal Qualities
The ideal candidate will possess excellent communication skills, a strong analytical mindset, and the ability to work effectively in a team environment.
