Executive Director for Strategic Communications

The AER is seeking a senior strategic communications professional to lead the development and delivery of organisation-wide communication, public information management and stakeholder engagement strategies.
This role involves overseeing and integrating the strategic communication team's diverse and professional skills to anticipate and deliver consistent, quality internal and external communications, engagement support and services.
Key responsibilities include ensuring the strategic communication team's work is coordinated, prioritised, resourced, aligned and performed to the appropriate standard.
The successful candidate will be appointed as an ongoing EL2 and may attract an additional allowance based on their skills and experience.
About YouTo succeed in this role, you will need:
- Knowledge of Australian energy markets and the complex political and stakeholder environment within which the AER operates.
- Substantial knowledge and demonstrated senior leadership experience across all strategic communications and engagement activities.
- Demonstrated experience leading a team or similar role in a fast-paced and large complex people-centred organisation.
- Tertiary qualifications in a relevant field or equivalent industry experience.

BenefitsThis role offers a salary range of $143,411 - $168,064 (plus 15.4% superannuation) and the opportunity to make a significant impact in the Australian energy market.
