Director of Actuarial Services

We are seeking a strategic Lead Actuary to oversee the development of internal actuarial capabilities and transition from an outsourced model to a hybrid operating model.
Main Responsibilities:- Develop and implement a hybrid actuarial services model, establishing a strong foundation for future growth and success.
- Foster and lead an internal actuarial team, providing guidance and mentoring to enhance capability across the organisation.
- Provide critical advice to senior leadership on scheme performance and risk, driving informed decision-making and strategy.
- Create actuarial models to support regulatory compliance and ensure adherence to industry standards.
- Drive reform initiatives in workers' compensation and related schemes, contributing to positive change and progress.
- A Fellow of the Institute of Actuaries of Australia (FIAA), with substantial experience in personal injury insurance or statutory schemes.
- A proven track record in building actuarial functions and leading cross-functional teams, with exceptional stakeholder engagement and communication skills.
- A strategic thinker able to translate data into actionable insights, driving business outcomes and results.
