The APS5 Complaints Officer plays a crucial role in managing and resolving complaints in a timely manner. The position requires Australian Citizenship, strong communication skills, and the ability to work autonomously.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Managing complaints and incidents, including assessing, recording, resolving, and referring as required.
  • Producing quality written correspondence for a range of audiences, including formal responses for executive leadership.
  • Coordinating correspondence, briefing, and reporting functions for the team.

The team prepares high-level advice, including letters, briefs, and reports for various stakeholders. This involves working closely with Ministers, Executive Leadership Team, Board, Independent Advisory Council, and oversight bodies.

To succeed in this role, you will need to possess excellent problem-solving skills, attention to detail, and the ability to work effectively in an open office environment. You should also be comfortable working from home on occasion and operating a telephone.

Additionally, you will need to have significant periods of sitting at a desk, computer/screen-based work, and timely and accurate input of data into software systems. The ideal candidate will be able to work collaboratively and operate as an effective team member.

This is a full-time hours labour hire assignment with a 12-month contract. The successful applicant will be based in Adelaide, SA, Chermside, QLD, or Charlestown, NSW.

Australian Citizenship is a requirement for this position.
