About the Role

BigCommerce is seeking a skilled Software Engineer II to join our team. As a key member of our engineering team, you will be responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining our ecommerce platform.

Key Responsibilities

  • Design and develop software solutions using modern programming languages and technologies
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify and prioritize project requirements
  • Develop and maintain high-quality code that meets our standards for performance, scalability, and reliability
  • Participate in code reviews and contribute to the improvement of our codebase
  • Work closely with our product owners, designers, and business representatives to ensure that our software meets the needs of our customers

Requirements

  • Minimum Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Software Engineering, or related field
  • Strong understanding of modern programming languages and technologies, including Ruby, PHP, Scala, and TypeScript
  • Experience with cloud-based platforms, such as Google Cloud Platform
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and prioritize multiple tasks
