Are you a skilled electrical engineer looking for a challenging role that combines technical expertise with leadership responsibilities? We have an exciting opportunity for a Senior Substation Commissioning Engineer to join our team in Tasmania.
About the RoleAs a Senior Substation Commissioning Engineer, you will be responsible for leading the commissioning of transmission and distribution substations, as well as renewable energy projects. You will work closely with project teams to ensure projects are completed on time and efficiently, and will be responsible for preparing and maintaining detailed commissioning documentation.
Key Responsibilities- Carry out primary and secondary commissioning activities for transmission/distribution substations and renewable energy projects.
- Test and validate electrical systems to ensure they meet design specifications and safety standards.
- Diagnose and resolve technical issues during the commissioning process.
- Work closely with project teams to ensure projects are completed on time and efficiently.
- Prepare and maintain detailed commissioning documentation, test reports and ITP's.
- Possess a degree or diploma in Electrical Engineering or a related discipline.
- Have at least 3-5 years of experience in commissioning electrical systems, particularly in substations and renewable energy projects.
- Demonstrate a strong understanding of electrical systems, control systems, and relevant standards.
- Proficient in using testing and diagnostic equipment.
- Exhibit excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
