At Fuse Recruitment, we're looking for a skilled Mechanic to join our team in Parramatta City Council. This is a fantastic opportunity to make a real impact in our community by ensuring the Council's fleet operates smoothly and reliably.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Perform maintenance and repair tasks on the Council's fleet vehicles and equipment, adhering to all regulatory and statutory standards.
  • Utilize our computerized Fleet Management System for efficient tracking and reporting.
  • Conduct registration and safety inspections for fleet vehicles and plant equipment.
  • Upkeep Work Health & Safety (WHS) standards and Environmental Management Principles in the workshop environment.
  • Support a positive organizational culture by embracing Council's values and commitment to an inclusive workplace.
  • Provide exceptional customer service by assisting internal and external customers with inquiries.

Qualifications and Experience:

  • Required: Current Tradeperson Certificate in Motor Mechanic repair work or equivalent qualifications with extensive relevant experience.
  • Demonstrated recent experience in repairing late-model fleet vehicles and equipment.
  • Proficiency in using computerized vehicle asset management systems and email applications.
  • Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks, solve problems, and meet deadlines.
  • Valid Class C Driver's License and MR Driver's License (or willingness to obtain within six months).
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills for effective information exchange.
  • Commitment to customer service and ability to work independently and as part of a team.
