Job Description

We are seeking an experienced Project Engineer - APAC to manage, optimize design, and lead the execution of our Battery Energy Storage System (BESS) projects in the Asia Pacific region and worldwide. As a key member of our team, you will collaborate with project managers, construction managers, customers, vendors, authorities, and consultants to ensure successful project delivery.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead project execution, ensuring thorough understanding of scope, schedule, stakeholders, and effective communication among all parties.
  • Identify gaps in scope & responsibility and work with stakeholders to address them, ensuring project success.
  • Apply engineering principles and consult subject matter experts as needed to identify issues and drive solutions on projects.
  • Specify equipment for projects, including Transformers, Switchgear, and protection solutions.
  • Interface with internal and external stakeholders to ensure consistent communication and project progress.
  • Review project design documents, including single line drawings, communication diagrams, layouts, and equipment test reports.
  • Plan and lead BESS project commissioning.
  • Provide constructive feedback to improve internal processes and products.
Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering (electrical or power system engineering) or equivalent experience.
  • 8+ years of experience in leading project design, preferably in large power stations or PV/utility-scale power projects.
  • 3+ years of BESS or PV project experience.
  • PE certification or equivalent preferred.
  • Familiarity with permitting processes with local authorities.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office tools (Excel, Word, Outlook, PowerPoint, Teams).
  • Willingsness to travel domestically and internationally, up to 30%.
  • Comfortable in fast-paced, rapid growth environments.

The estimated salary for this position is $120,000 - $150,000 per annum, depending on experience.
