About the Position:

• Conduct thorough assessments of building plans and work orders to ensure accurate execution.
• Set up and dismantle scaffolding while adhering to strict safety protocols.
• Apply skilled craftsmanship in laying bricks and constructing various structures using diverse materials.

As a seasoned professional in this field, you will be responsible for:

• Delivering precise analyses of building blueprints.
• Interpreting work orders to determine required materials.
• Constructing and deconstructing complex scaffolding systems.
• Building and maintaining structures, walls, foundations, etc., utilizing an array of blocks, tiles, boards, and stone.
• Laying bricks in organized rows, designs, and shapes, with meticulous attention to mortar application between joints.
• Embedding blocks in mortar and efficiently removing excess mortar.
• Strengthening and sealing foundations with suitable damp-resistant materials.
• Securing bricks with wire clamps or cement.
• Maintaining and repairing building blocks.
• Effectively managing material quantities required for each project.
• Utilizing hand tools, brick-cutting machines, spirit levels, and plumb lines to verify building alignment.
• Working safely at varying heights on scaffolds and swing stages.
• Employing equipment and tools efficiently to execute fundamental construction tasks.
• Ensuring adherence to established codes, legislation, and procedures, including health and safety protocols.
• Maintaining accurate records and documentation associated with completed work.

Required Skills and Qualifications:

• Completion of Certificate III/IV in Bricklaying or equivalent qualification.
• At least 1 year of relevant work experience.
