POSITION SUMMARY

As the Procurement Operations Lead for the Amazon Fulfillment Center, you will be responsible for overseeing the site's indirect procurement functions. This includes managing forecasting, inventory oversight, purchase order administration, and vendor relations with third-party service providers. You will also be tasked with leading supplier performance metrics and collaborating with stakeholders to identify areas for enhancement and deviation.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
- Collaborate with the Regional Procurement Operations Manager to support procurement operations for the fulfillment center, focusing on non-inventory product forecasting, inventory oversight, flow and space modeling, cycle counts, supplier management, and procurement transaction support.
- Lead a team of non-inventory receivers to ensure the fulfillment center is adequately resourced and positioned for success.
- Acquire in-depth knowledge of non-inventory items and coordinate with similar facilities to promote best practices.
- Establish and monitor KPIs to evaluate, control, and benchmark procurement processes, including the creation of regular metrics reports to drive operational improvements.
- Foster relationships across the building and network to ensure the sharing and implementation of best practices.
- Assess actual versus planned savings; as trends emerge, develop action plans to achieve goals and propose solutions.
- Work collaboratively with internal teams and suppliers to devise innovative procurement solutions that support operational objectives.
BASIC QUALIFICATIONS
- A completed Bachelor's degree in supply chain management, business administration, engineering, IT, or a related discipline.
- A minimum of 3 years of experience in a similar capacity.
- At least 1 year of experience with MS Office, particularly Excel, and analytical platforms, including proficiency in data analysis using pivot tables and V-lookups.
- Experience in understanding process flows and recommending enhancements to achieve savings, reduce inventory, or deliver other operational benefits.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
- Certifications in Supply Chain Management (e.g., CSCMP).
