About the Opportunity

The Procurement Category Manager plays a crucial role in ensuring the business receives best value for money across suppliers and subcontractors. This position reports to the Procurement Manager – NSW/ACT and is part of the MJH Procurement team.

Key Responsibilities
  • Contribute to and implement the organisation's strategic Procurement plan in line with the overall business objectives.
  • Create category strategies for various suppliers and subcontractors to ensure best quality, delivery, and cost.
  • Complete in-depth analyses to ensure best outcomes for the business, including RACI's, business needs analysis, internal and external market analysis, and go-to-market strategies.
  • Develop RFP and RFQ documents to identify new subcontractors and suppliers.
  • Improve efficiencies in the end-to-end process for new and discontinued products to minimize waste and ensure minimal disruption to clients and the business.
  • Review ongoing supplier and subcontractor performance.
  • Work collaboratively with internal stakeholders to implement continuous improvement and reduce price variation cost issues.
About You

You will share a passion for our purpose to be Australia's number one residential builder and be aligned to our core values. In addition, you will demonstrate:

  • 5+ years of experience in a Procurement Category Management position.
  • Knowledge of Procurement concepts, processes, activities, and trends.
  • Advanced Excel experience.
  • A continuous improvement mindset with problem-solving capabilities.
  • Ideally, experience in the Construction or Manufacturing industry.

You will hold a current driver's license and have regular access to a reliable vehicle.
