Due to the ongoing expansion of the organization, an outstanding opportunity has arisen for a skilled and driven Planner/Estimator with a robust Mechanical background to become part of our Engineering Business Unit.
Key Responsibilities:
- Formulating competitive quotations
- Interpreting both simple and intricate 2D and 3D schematics
- Crafting strategies to attract new clientele and maintain current relationships
- Coordinating and executing project plans
- Establishing comprehensive timelines
- Completing necessary documentation for on-site operations
- Understanding detailed designs relevant to ongoing projects
- Supporting the preparation and submission of tender proposals
Qualifications and Skills Required:
- Relevant Trade Qualifications Cert III in Engineering – Mechanical Fitter/Boilermaker Welder/Fabrication Trade
- Prior experience in estimation
- Proficiency in interpreting designs and drawings
- Experience in Production Planning
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities
- Exceptional communication skills
- Dedication to safety and quality standards
- In-depth knowledge of various structural steel and piping types
- Strong mathematical capabilities for conducting calculations from drawings and specifications to create quotations
- Financial acumen is highly valued
- Computer proficiency, particularly in MS Excel and MS Word; familiarity with MS Project is advantageous
- Ability to work independently and take initiative
