About the Role

As a mental health clinician, you will be part of our team that provides early intervention and support to children and families in schools. Your primary focus will be on delivering group programs that enhance social and emotional skills in children.

You will work closely with parents and carers to develop effective strategies for parenting, and collaborate with teachers to build their capacity in responding to children's wellbeing needs. Additionally, you will contribute to program planning, evaluation, and professional education activities.

Key Responsibilities
  • Deliver group programs in schools to strengthen children's social and emotional skills
  • Work directly with parents and carers to support effective parenting strategies
  • Partner with teachers to build capacity in responding to children's wellbeing needs
  • Contribute to program planning, evaluation, and professional education activities
Requirements
  • Relevant tertiary qualifications in psychology, social work or occupational therapy
  • Registration with AHPRA or eligibility to the AASW
  • Clinical skills and experience in assessing and treating complex mental health needs in children and families
  • Experience in developing, implementing, and evaluating programs including clinical groups
