At Metcash, we are seeking a Trade Supervisor to lead and motivate our Trade team. The ideal candidate will have experience in developing and implementing new processes or systems, sound financial and business acumen, and demonstrated trade knowledge.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Drive sales growth and improve EBIT contribution in key categories of Trade, Building Materials and Timber products.
  • Communicate business strategy and ensure the Trade team has individual goals linked to site objectives.
  • Coach and mentor Trade team members.
  • Advocate an excellent customer service culture.
  • Ensure consistent pricing, discount and contract management.
  • Ensure best practice transport and delivery standards.
  • Deliver and support training and development of trade specific product knowledge.
  • Oversee coordination of drivers and deliveries.
  • Liaise with trade desk accounts to establish, build and maintain good business relationships.
