Mental Health Clinician Role

We are seeking an experienced Mental Health Clinician to join our team. As a key member of our multidisciplinary team, you will provide high-quality clinical assessments and interventions to individuals experiencing mental health challenges.

About the Role

  • Provide comprehensive biopsychosocial assessments and develop treatment plans that prioritize consumer-centered care
  • Work collaboratively with Senior Clinicians and Team Leaders to deliver holistic care
  • Conduct crisis assessments and admissions to mental health bed-based units
  • Develop recovery plans in collaboration with consumers, families, and carers

Key Responsibilities:

  • Undertake thorough biopsychosocial assessments to identify and prioritize consumer needs
  • Develop risk management plans and monitor physical health conditions
  • Attend Mental Health Tribunals and ensure consumers' rights are met under relevant legislation
  • Coordinate crisis assessments and admissions to mental health services

Required Skills and Qualifications:

  • Recent clinical experience in mental health settings, including community and acute care
  • Well-developed mental health assessment skills and knowledge of relevant legislation
  • Good understanding of the recovery model and its application in consumer engagement
