Assistant Chief Radiographer

This is a unique opportunity for a skilled professional to take on the role of Assistant Chief Radiographer.


About the Role
  • As the Assistant Chief Radiographer, you will support the senior leadership team in managing the Medical Imaging Department, fostering strong relationships with radiologists and other stakeholders.
  • You will contribute to the development and implementation of standardized operational and business processes, driving excellence in patient care and departmental efficiency.
  • The successful candidate will lead the progression of an integrated continuing professional development and quality program, aligning with professional requirements and recognized accreditation standards.

Key Responsibilities
  1. Manage the day-to-day operations of the Medical Imaging Department, ensuring seamless service delivery.
  2. Collaborate with the senior leadership team to develop and implement strategic plans, driving growth and improvement.
  3. Liaise with radiologists and other stakeholders to ensure effective communication and coordination.

Requirements
  • AHPRA registration as a Radiographer, with recent clinical experience.
  • Demonstrated experience in managing a multimodality imaging department, with knowledge of RANZCR Accreditation guidelines and ACHS accreditation standards.
  • Excellent leadership skills, motivation, and advocacy, with sound ability in conflict resolution and staff performance management.
  • Strong communication and team building expertise, liaison, and negotiation skills.
  • Competence in financial management, ensuring efficient and effective service provision.
