About this role

Only About Children Cheltenham is a purpose-built centre that has been rated Exceeding the National Quality Standards. The centre has three dedicated outdoor play areas that provide ample space for creativity and exploration. The outdoor spaces feature sandpits, raised gardens, balance bridges, a river stream, and a worm farm. The age-based indoor spaces use natural materials to encourage play and interaction among children.

We are seeking an experienced Nursery Room Leader to join our team at OAC Cheltenham. This role will involve being a role model and mentor to other team members in your room, while working collaboratively to create opportunities for children to reach their full potential. Your responsibilities may include:

  • Being the first point of contact for families regarding developmental outcomes for children
  • Ensuring new team members feel welcome and engaged in the room, creating an environment that fosters a sense of belonging for all
  • Providing childcare services that comply with national regulations, the National Quality Framework (NQF), and support the Early Years Learning Framework
  • Ensuring child safety and welfare at all times by actively supervising and interacting with children

We are looking for someone with:

  • Certificate III or Diploma of Early Childhood Education & Care
  • Proven leadership experience in the same or like role
  • Experience with documentation & planning
  • Ability to form partnerships with families to reach the best possible outcomes for each child
  • An understanding of mandatory reporting obligations
  • WWCC & any other relevant certifications
