Compliance Risk Management Specialist

Join Shell Energy, a leading energy retailer in Australia, in this exciting role as a Compliance Advisor. As a key member of the Regulatory Affairs team, you will be responsible for ensuring the company's compliance with regulatory requirements and industry standards.
Key Responsibilities
- Maintain a compliance and risk management framework for the business, in line with the Australian Standard.
- Provide expert regulatory advice on energy retailing obligations in the NEM, WA, and related gas sectors.
- Support regulatory licensing requirements for Shell Energy Australia's B2B and B2C retail activities.
- Identify, analyze, and manage regulatory issues and risks that may impact the business's interests, reputation, and image.
- Establish and maintain documentation to support the Regulatory Affairs compliance function.
- Monitor regulatory change and assist the business in implementing regulatory change.
- Guide and advise the company on regulatory obligations and means of compliance.
Requirements
- Working knowledge and experience of the regulated Australian energy environment and relevant regulatory and compliance obligations.
- Strategic and analytical thinking, with investigative and problem-solving skills, attention to detail, and an inquisitive attitude.
- Demonstrated flexibility, including the ability to respond quickly and decisively to new regulatory compliance risks.
- Highly organized with advanced time management skills.
