About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled CSSD Instrument Technician to join our team at Healthscope. As a key member of our perioperative department, you will be responsible for ensuring the highest standards of sterilizing practice and infection control.

Key Responsibilities

  • Ensure the effective operation of sterilizing equipment and machinery
  • Perform duties in all work areas of the department, including decontamination, packing, sterilization, and loan instruments
  • Test and maintain sterilizing equipment to ensure optimal performance
  • Collaborate with the CSSD Manager and Peri-Operative Services Manager to prioritize equipment and resources
  • Communicate effectively with team members and management to ensure seamless department operations

Requirements

  • At least 1 year of experience as a CSSD Technician
  • Certificate III in Sterilizing Services or working towards this certification
  • Excellent customer service skills and ability to work well in a team
  • Basic to intermediate computer skills
