About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Web Developer to join our team at The University of Queensland. As a key member of our research program, you will be responsible for designing, implementing, and maintaining software projects across client departments and organisations.

Key Responsibilities
  • Design and develop web applications using NodeJS, TypeScript, and microservices architecture.
  • Develop dashboards and data visualization tools using JavaScript, React, and other relevant technologies.
  • Collaborate with climate scientists to develop storytelling web-based communication pieces that translate complex climate data into engaging and accessible formats.
  • Undertake research on climate services platforms and implement innovative ideas to modernize our web resources.
  • Liaise with stakeholders to ensure effective communication and project delivery.
About You

We are looking for a highly motivated and experienced Senior Web Developer who possesses excellent communication skills, a solutions-focused attitude, and a passion for delivering exceptional customer service.

  • Qualifications and training equivalent to an undergraduate degree in IT or a related field, and significant relevant experience.
  • Proven experience in developing web applications, data visualization tools, and microservices architecture.
  • Strong knowledge of JavaScript, React, and other relevant technologies.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work under tight timelines and prioritize tasks effectively.
