Job Title: Mechanical Tradesperson

Job Type: Full-Time

Location: Smithton, Tasmania

We are seeking a skilled and experienced Mechanical Tradesperson to join our team at our Smithton site. As a key member of the Engineering team, you will play a critical role in maintaining the optimal performance of our production facility.

About the Role

The successful candidate will be responsible for completing planned and unplanned maintenance work in a timely manner. This will involve working closely with the production teams to ensure maximum availability and efficiency of our production facility. You will also respond to breakdown calls during your shift to minimize equipment downtime.

Key Responsibilities

  • Completion of planned and unplanned maintenance work
  • Collaboration with production teams to achieve maximum availability and efficiency
  • Response to breakdown calls during shifts
  • Participation in maintenance programs through SAP
  • Working on a predominantly 12-hour shift rotating roster

Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need to have formal qualifications in a mechanical trade, strong skills in fault finding and problem solving, and experience in pneumatics and hydraulics. You will also need to be able to safely work as an individual and within a team environment and follow company policies and procedures.
