The ideal candidate will have strong initiative, innovation and commitment to technical excellence, as well as experience in mechanical engineering design. Proficiency in AutoCAD is essential, with experience in 3D modelling software being highly valued.

The successful candidate will be responsible for designing, costing and installing various pump station and pipeline systems across the world, including tailings slurry pipelines, return water systems and long distance overland pipelines. They will also provide multidisciplinary engineering assistance with project management and general civil engineering tasks.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Plan and schedule projects, define scope of service and prepare proposals for clients.
  • Evaluate existing terrain and infrastructure information to identify preferred and alternative pipeline routes.
  • Develop pipeline plan and long section drawings using 3D CAD pipeline modelling software.
  • Perform steady state pipeline hydraulic designs using Excel or hydraulic modelling software.
  • Perform surge analysis for pipeline systems using software such as Bentley Hammer.
Requirements:
  • Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering
  • Professional certification in engineering or eligibility to apply within 12 months of joining.
  • At least 3-5 years of specialised experience in mechanical engineering designs.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office and AutoCAD.
