About the Job

We are seeking a highly skilled Child and Family Intervention Specialist to join our team in delivering evidence-based interventions to children and young people in the Illawarra region.

In this role, you will work collaboratively with other professionals to develop and implement individualised care plans that meet the unique needs of each child.

This is a casual position available on a range of shifts including mornings, evenings, weekends, and public holidays.

Key Responsibilities
  1. Develop and implement individualised care plans for children and young people, working collaboratively with other professionals.
  2. Deliver evidence-based interventions to children and young people, promoting their safety, well-being, and independence.
  3. Monitor and evaluate the effectiveness of interventions, making adjustments as needed.
  4. Provide support and guidance to children and young people, promoting positive relationships and communication.
  5. Collaborate with other professionals to ensure a coordinated approach to supporting children and young people.
Requirements
  • A Certificate IV in Child, Youth, and Family Intervention or similar qualification.
  • Current Provide First Aid (HLTAID011) and Provide CPR (HLTAID009) certificates.
  • A current driver's licence and comprehensive insured vehicle.
  • A strong understanding of Therapeutic Crisis Intervention and Trauma Informed Practice.
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills.
