**Overview of the Role**

We are seeking a dedicated and passionate Lead Primary Educator to join our vibrant school community at St Mary's Catholic School, Bowen.

The successful applicant will be responsible for providing high-quality education to students in the early years, promoting academic excellence and serving the local community.

The role is a full-time, fixed-term position commencing 20 January 2025, with a competitive hourly rate of $84,077 - $123,101 per annum pending experience.

**Key Responsibilities**

The successful applicant will be required to:

  • Develop and implement engaging lesson plans that cater to diverse learning needs;
  • Maintain a positive and inclusive classroom environment that fosters student growth and development;
  • Collaborate with colleagues to provide support and guidance to students as needed;
  • Communicate effectively with parents and guardians regarding student progress and well-being;
  • Participate in ongoing professional development to enhance teaching skills and stay up-to-date with best practices in education;
  • Contribute to the development and implementation of school policies and procedures.

**Requirements**

To be considered for this role, applicants must possess:

  • A relevant tertiary qualification in primary education or a related field;
  • Registration or eligibility for registration with Queensland College of Teachers;
  • A current driver's license and ability to travel within the Catholic Diocese of Townsville as required;
  • The physical ability to perform the duties of the role in a safe manner.
