Job Opportunity: Service Technician

About the Role

The successful candidate will be responsible for installing, servicing, and calibrating advanced product inspection equipment, including X-Ray, Metal Detection, and Check Weighing systems.

This role ensures the highest standards of quality control.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Install, commission, maintain, and repair product inspection equipment.
  • Provide responsive, high-quality technical support to customers.
  • Liaise with customers to meet agreed service levels and response timeframes.
  • Ensure strict adherence to safety standards.
  • Perform service and maintenance on competitor brands as required.
  • Participate in call-out rosters once technical proficiency is achieved.
  • Collaborate closely with internal teams to drive cooperative solutions.
  • Identify cross-selling opportunities to support business growth.
  • Maintain accurate service records and documentation.
  • Ensure proper maintenance and calibration of tools and test equipment.
Requirements

To be considered for this role, you will need:

  • Qualifications in electronics, electrical, mechanical, or mechatronics (trade or tertiary level).
  • Prior experience in servicing Product Inspection equipment (highly regarded).
  • Strong problem-solving skills across electrical, mechanical, IT, and software applications.
  • Ability to work independently and thrive under pressure.
  • Excellent communication skills – both written and verbal.
  • Flexibility and willingness to travel interstate and regionally on a regular basis.
  • Competency with MS Office and technical software.
