Business Growth Strategist

The Category Development Analyst plays a crucial role in supporting the development of retailer-tailored strategies that drive business growth and profitability.

• Key Responsibilities:
• Develop and implement category insights to identify opportunities for growth, working closely with 3rd party providers to gather relevant data and analytics.
• Support the optimization of product assortment across categories, leveraging internal and external insights to inform strategic decisions.
• Analyze consumer and shopper trends to determine optimal pricing strategies, ensuring alignment with business objectives and key performance indicators.

• Advanced Excel skills, including data analysis and visualization.
• Proficiency in PowerPoint, with experience in creating engaging presentations.
• Commercial acumen, gained through experience in Sales or Category Management.
• Nielsen and/or Aztec scan/panel expertise, with a strong understanding of market research methodologies.
• Familiarity with store layout software, such as Apollo or JDA, with experience in optimizing store layouts for maximum efficiency.
• Strong interpersonal skills, with the ability to influence and sell recommendations internally.
• Collaborative mindset, with experience working across market and functional boundaries.
• Minimum 2 years of experience in Category Management, Shopper Insights, Key Account Management, or Sales-related functions, preferably within FMCG.
