Job Description

Ayan Infotech is seeking a highly skilled Cloud Networking Specialist to join our team.

This is a long-term contract role in Sydney, with a potential duration of 6 months or more.

The successful candidate will have strong experience in cloud infrastructure and networking, with a focus on designing and deploying cloud network resources.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Design and deploy cloud network resources using infrastructure-as-code (IaC) methods for relevant Cloud network resources, including virtual private cloud (VPC), internet protocol (IP) addressing, and subnets.
  • Assist in building alignment with the Architecture Review Board (ARB) and Ayan Infotech's cyber team by working with our virtual team across Cloud Centre of Excellence (CCoE), information technology (IT) infrastructure, information security (Infosec), and application development operations (DevOps).
  • Participate in project meetings and discussions to understand business requirements and come up with solutions to meet those requirements using cloud services.
  • Provide assistance based on AWS/GCP/Azure general best practices to our application teams with troubleshooting connectivity requirements.
  • Identify and assist with potential improvement opportunities as a result of new features and redundant resources.
  • Provide advice based on AWS/GCP/Azure general best practices on our internal policies for use of AWS/GCP/Azure Services, such as deployment, provisioning, and de-provisioning of AWS/GCP/Azure Services.
  • Provide advice based on AWS/GCP/Azure general best practices on our internal standards for use of AWS/GCP/Azure Services for application use cases, such as recommended services, sizes, and metrics on AWS/GCP/Azure Services.
  • Provide a mutually agreed number of examples of new policies and general best practices for use of AWS/GCP/Azure infrastructure services, as mutually agreed.
  • Participate in knowledge transfer sessions, as mutually agreed.
  • Facilitate the coordination and activities of groups across the project.
Requirements:
  • Well-versed and competent in IP networks, including Routing, Switching, Wireless, and MPLS.
  • 15+ years of experience working in network space, with a minimum of 5+ years in handling large enterprise customers' overall network operations.
  • Experience and expertise in Network virtualization based on EVPN VXLAN.
  • Strong knowledge and experience working on Cisco Catalyst and Cisco Nexus switches.
  • Strong knowledge and experience working on Cisco ISRs and ASRs.
  • Strong knowledge and experience working on Meraki wireless.
  • Solid experience in handling DC networks and large-scale branch networks.
  • Perform tier-2 and 3 escalation support for networks and act as the point of contact for Ayan Infotech's Leadership and other Managers.
  • Managing and supervising a team of network engineers and providing guidance to them with operational issues.
  • Monitor, manage, and mentor network operations/support tech team.
  • Ensure effective monitoring, maintenance, and administration of automated backup systems to ensure data continuity and integrity for all IT Network systems.
  • Ensure effective coordination and cooperation with the IT ServiceDesk to smoothly facilitate the resolution of cross-domain incidents/requests.
  • Oversee, maintain, administer, and develop automated workflows, and scripts for network operations.
  • Coordinate and collaborate with the rest of OT, IT, Engineering, and the business at large to identify and implement opportunities for continuous improvement.
  • Oversee, maintain, and build documentation for Network services.
  • Ensure effective monitoring, maintenance, and administration of automated backup systems to ensure data continuity and integrity for network devices.
  • Oversee maintenance of network inventory and ensure maintenance of critical spares at all facilities.
  • Strong written and oral communication skills.
