Job Description

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Mobile Equipment Technician to join our dynamic team at 2XM Recruit. As a key member of our equipment maintenance sector, you will be responsible for repairing and maintaining various types of mobile equipment.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Equipment Maintenance: Perform routine maintenance and repairs on elevating work platforms, telescopic handlers, skid steers, and forklifts.
  • New Machine Preparation: Inspect and prepare new machines for delivery, ensuring they meet high-quality standards.
  • Customer Satisfaction: Provide exceptional customer service, addressing any concerns or issues promptly.
  • Safety and Quality: Maintain a safe working environment, adhering to Occupational Safety and Health legislation, and ensure all work meets quality standards.
Requirements:

To succeed in this role, you will need:

  • Relevant Qualifications: A relevant trade qualification, such as a Certificate III in Mobile Plant Technology or equivalent.
  • Experience: At least 2 years' experience as a tradesperson post-apprenticeship, with a strong background in hydraulics and electrics.
  • Licenses: A Forklift License, Current Driver's License, EWP High-Risk License, and Telehandler Gold Card (advantageous).
Skills and Attributes:

You will possess:

  • Excellent Communication Skills: Strong verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to interact effectively with customers and colleagues.
  • Technical Expertise: A solid understanding of hydraulics, electrics, and mechanical systems, with experience in supporting machinery like telescopic handlers, forklifts, tractors, and earthmoving equipment.
  • Problem-Solving Skills: Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills to troubleshoot technical issues efficiently.
