Virtual Health Consultant

As a Virtual Health Consultant, you will play a vital role in delivering high-quality medical consultations to patients from the comfort of their own homes. This opportunity is perfect for General Practitioners seeking a flexible and rewarding work-from-home experience.

With Aspen Medical, a leader in healthcare innovation, you will be partnered with Healthdirect Australia to offer a Virtual Health role where you can utilize your expertise to deliver exceptional care.

  • 100% Remote Work: Enjoy working from home anywhere in Australia with access to technology support.
  • Flexible Hours: Practice self-rostering with a minimum of 15-20 hours per fortnight required within the hours of midnight – 0930 am AEST excluding Sunday.
  • Comprehensive Support: Receive 2 days paid training, a laptop, and headset along with the necessary technology.
  • Competitive Pay: Enjoy a fixed hourly rate with higher rates for overnight hours, weekends, and public holidays, plus great benefits.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide comprehensive medical advice and diagnostic services to patients via outbound audio and video calls.
  • Ensure timely and high-quality consultations within minimum service standards.
  • Provide patients with written care summaries, health advice, and relevant local service information.
  • Utilize My Health Record, e-prescribing, and secure messaging to deliver the best care.

Requirements:

  • Excellent communication skills (written and verbal).
  • Unrestricted specialist General Practitioner registration with the Australian Health Practitioners Registration Authority (AHPRA).
  • Minimum 3 years' experience in general practice (with a minimum of one working within Australia).
  • Previous telehealth/virtual healthcare delivery or willingness to upskill.
  • Fast, reliable cable/NBN internet connection with a minimum of 50Mbps download speed and an upload speed of 20Mbps.
  • Demonstrated strong proficiency in English Language Skills (ELS).
  • A high affinity with using computer systems, including telehealth platforms, databases, and digital communication tools.
