An exciting opportunity now exists for a skilled Senior-Associate Aquatic Ecologist with at least 5 years' consulting experience to join our Perth office.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Contribute your technical leadership skills in aquatic environmental services and be recognised for your specialist knowledge.
  • Laboratory experience including sorting, enumeration, identification, sample preparation etc.
  • Design, lead and contribute to projects across freshwater environments, in order to achieve timely and high-quality outcomes.
  • Technical report writing.
  • Undertake aquatic/water quality fieldwork in remote areas.
Requirements

The successful candidate must have:

  • Relevant bachelor's degree in Environmental Science or a related field, with specialised study in freshwater ecology desirable.
  • 5 years' experience as either an aquatic ecologist, biologist, zoologist or water quality specialist – with knowledge of scientific data collection in aquatic ecosystems.
  • Excellent data analysis skills using uni- and multivariate techniques, and proven ability to prepare reports to a high standard.
  • Experience in project management including budgeting and client liaison from project inception to completion.
  • Drivers Licence is essential and candidates without this will not be considered.
  • Experience in macroinvertebrate identification to species level will be favoured.
  • An enthusiastic and dedicated approach.
