About the Opportunity

Troocoo is proud to partner with a leading utilities company to recruit a Tax Accountant. This is a 3-month contract based in Brisbane's CBD, offering a chance to contribute to a dynamic finance team and ensure compliance with tax-related requirements.

About the Role

As the successful candidate, you will oversee the preparation and lodgement of tax returns, provide tax compliance advice, and support audits. You will also help maintain tax policies and assist with financial reporting.

  • Preparation and lodgement of tax returns, including BAS, Payroll Tax, FBT, and other relevant tax submissions.
  • Provide high-level financial and tax advice, ensuring compliance with taxation laws.
  • Support financial reporting, ensuring adherence to accounting standards.
  • Develop and maintain tax policies, procedures, and training documentation.
  • Assist with financial audits and respond to government tax auditor requests.
Ideal Candidate
  • Proven experience in tax accounting, ideally within a large corporate environment.
  • Expertise in tax compliance and reporting, with the ability to advise on tax strategies.
  • Strong analytical skills, attention to detail, and ability to work within tight deadlines.
  • CPA or CA qualification is highly desirable.
