Job Opportunity: Financial Controller

Catholic Healthcare, a leading not-for-profit provider of aged care services, seeks an experienced Financial Controller to join our team. As a key member of our finance department, you will be responsible for managing the end-to-end delivery of financial services, ensuring accurate and timely processing of all financial functions. Your leadership skills will be crucial in fostering a positive culture and inspiring your team to achieve excellence.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Manage the daily operational financial activities of the Finance function to ensure ongoing financial viability.
  • Monitor and optimize cash flow to ensure liquidity for daily operations and strategic initiatives.
  • Ensure controls, guidelines, and processes are in place to identify, control, and manage financial risks to the organization.
  • Oversee and monitor the production of monthly and annual financial accounts.
  • Manage the completion of the annual interim and final audit programs.
  • Conduct financial analysis to support informed decision-making, in line with the strategic requirements to enable growth in a profitable and sustainable manner.
  • Evaluate financial performance and identify opportunities for improvement or cost savings.
  • Manage the development and review of accounting and financial policies and procedures.
  • Leading fleet management, including liaising with internal and external stakeholders to ensure fleet services meet safety regulations and business needs.

Requirements:
  • Degree in Accounting or Finance.
  • Certified Public Accountant (CPA) qualified.
  • Previous experience working within the aged care/Healthcare industry highly desirable.
  • Demonstrated significant experience in a similar-sized organization.
  • Previous experience in managing end-to-end financial operations.
  • Demonstrated experience reviewing, analyzing, and translating and documenting business requirements.
  • Ability to work with cross-functional teams, diverse stakeholders, and executive leaders.
  • Demonstrated people-effective people management experience.
