Fisheries Operations Manager

About the Role
We are seeking a skilled and experienced Fisheries Production Coordinator to oversee the setup, implementation, and operations of the Seafood Post Harvest facility in a remote community. The successful candidate will support the upskilling of local staff into operational roles, providing training and development opportunities.
Responsibilities
- Manage the purchase and processing operations of the fisheries.
- Support the recruitment, onboarding, and training of part-time staff into fisheries roles.
- Liaise with customers regarding their required demand for specific catch.
- Assist local fishers in their applications for Aboriginal Coastal Licenses.
- Oversee and ensure compliance with various local, territory, and federal regulations.
- Be a champion of the ALPA values and demonstrate a commitment to work health and safety.
About You
- Experience in seafood processing operations.
- Sound people management skills in a high-pressure environment.
- Intermediate MS Office skills.
- Effective interpersonal skills, including proficient written and oral communication skills.
- The capacity to link daily activities to the ALPA values and mission.
