About the Role

We're seeking a skilled Network Development Engineer to join our team at Amazon. As a key member of our AWS Infrastructure Services team, you'll be responsible for designing, planning, and delivering our global network infrastructure. This includes deploying and scaling our network across multiple data centers, creating simple and repetitive deployment processes, and working closely with our internal customers to bring designs and solutions from concept to production.

Key Responsibilities

  • Create and update network standards
  • Implement changes on the network
  • Automate workflow and execution of deployments on a global scale

Basic Qualifications

  • 3+ years of professional experience working in large-scale networking environments
  • 3+ years of experience with internet routing protocols and concepts: TCP/IP, BGP, MPLS, ISIS, and/or OSPF
  • 2+ years of experience with automation via Bash/shell scripting and Perl/Python programming

Preferred Qualifications

  • 2+ years of experience working in a Linux/Unix environment
  • 2+ years of experience with network operating systems such as Cisco IOS and Junos
  • Knowledge of network analysis fundamentals and robust troubleshooting skills
