Job Summary

We are seeking a reliable and skilled Van Driver to join our team in Pinkenba QLD. As a Van Driver, you will be responsible for safely operating a van to deliver mail and parcels across various locations.

About the Role
  • You will be working on a permanent part-time basis with an estimated 25 hours per week.
  • You will need to be available to work around a rotating roster, with shifts ranging from 5-7 hours per day between 6:30am and 7pm.

Salary and Benefits

The pay rate for this role is $30.28 per hour plus 12% superannuation, with additional penalties of 15% applying to some shifts. We also offer a range of benefits, including Post Perks and opportunities for professional growth and development.

Key Responsibilities
  • Safe operation of a van to deliver mail and parcels.
  • Picking up mail and parcel items from customers.
  • Unloading mail articles from vans and manually sorting them into small or large letters and parcels.
  • Completing daily vehicle safety checks.
  • Working collaboratively with senior drivers to develop your skills and knowledge.
Requirements
  • A full or probationary QLD driver's licence with a good driving history.
  • Experience driving a van or similar-sized large vehicle (automatic).
  • Able to pass our mandatory and practical driving assessment.
  • Flexibility to work additional hours if required.
  • A great memory, excellent attention to detail, and ability to lift up to 16kgs of mail and parcels regularly.
  • Ability to meet our safe working load limit of 130kgs or less.
