Kmart Group is a leading Australian retailer with a strong presence in the market. As an Inventory BI Specialist, you will play a key role in designing and developing business intelligence solutions that support the strategy and activities of the Inventory team.
The primary responsibility of this role is to maintain and improve inventory management through the development of business intelligence systems. You will work closely with other teams within the Inventory function to coordinate business intelligence activities and provide data insights to guide problem-solving efforts.
As an Inventory BI Specialist, your main tasks will include:
- Maintaining and improving inventory management through business intelligence systems
- Designing and building datasets for business intelligence and automation needs
- Ensuring Confluence reporting reference materials are up-to-date
- Communicating business intelligence and insights effectively
- Maintaining report data integrity and managing Inventory data costs
- Delivering consistent availability of reports for trade meetings
- Collaborating with key stakeholders to lead, develop, and simplify reporting needs aligned to a standardized way of working
You will also be responsible for timely report creation as required, reviewing and managing system-generated exceptions, ensuring key milestone dates are met for maintaining future projects, and liaising with key stakeholders to meet KPIs and deadlines.
To be successful in this role, you should possess experience in, but not limited to, the following areas:
- Strong analytical skills with a keen attention to detail
- Proficiency in Power BI, along with capabilities in Python, Power Automate, and SQL/Snowflake
- Excellent prioritization and organizational skills
- Ability to influence and effectively engage with stakeholders
- Competence in making data-driven commercial decisions
- Experience in the Retail, Wholesale, or Manufacturing sectors
- Ability to collaborate effectively within a team environment
- Clear and concise communication skills
- Proven track record of executing action plan deliverables in a timely manner
- Experience in dynamic problem-solving environments
- Experience in project and business translation
- Sound knowledge of inventory management, particularly within a retail environment, would be advantageous
