The Waverley Christian College is seeking to appoint two part-time Teaching Assistants, one for each of our Narre Warren South and Wantirna South campuses. The selected candidates will have the opportunity to work, earn and learn alongside experienced teachers, contributing to a quality educational experience for students from Kindergarten to Year 12.

Job Overview

This role combines paid classroom experience with studies towards a Bachelor of Education or Master of Teaching, providing a unique chance to develop teaching skills while earning a salary.

Responsibilities
  • Support Students in Their Learning Journey: Provide individualised support and feedback to students, helping them achieve academic success.
  • Contribute to Lesson Preparation and Delivery: Participate in lesson planning and delivery under the guidance of experienced teachers, ensuring high-quality learning experiences.
  • Maintain a Safe and Inclusive Learning Environment: Assist in maintaining a safe and respectful learning environment that promotes inclusivity and diversity.
Required Skills and Qualifications
  • Enrollment as a CITE Alliance Student: Be enrolled as a CITE Alliance student with Eastern College Australia or Christian Heritage College.
  • Current First Aid Qualifications: Hold current First Aid qualifications (HLTAID011).
  • Demonstrated Commitment to Christian Education: Show commitment to the values and ethos of Christian education, including excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
