Role Overview

We are seeking a skilled and compassionate Registered Nurse to provide efficient, person-centred care in our Maternity and Gynaecology Service. The successful candidate will work closely with patients and their families to deliver high-quality care and make informed decisions about treatment options.

Key Responsibilities
  • Deliver exceptional patient care that meets individual needs and promotes positive outcomes.
  • Act as an advocate to empower patients and support their autonomy in healthcare decision-making.
  • Develop effective communication strategies to ensure patients understand clinical interventions and service delivery processes.
  • Make referrals for patient discharge needs and coordinate follow-up care.
  • Provide guidance and mentoring to colleagues and students to enhance skills and knowledge.
Work Environment

The ward offers a dynamic and supportive environment, featuring eight beds that expand during periods of high hospital activity. This allows nurses to practice and develop their skills across a diverse range of disciplines.

Requirements
  • Current registration as a Registered Nurse with AHPRA.
